Early in 1997, LCH was approached by private utilities and lendors who asked LCH to establish a list of “Screened” contractors. This service was designed to help homeowners evaluate home improvement contractors by creating a criteria for what is now the “Approved” contractor program. Only the qualified vendors who have worked hard to meet these required standards earn the endorsement of the league of California Homeowners.

Listed below is the screening criteria that has been met by this company:
- A valid license with the contractors state license board
- General liability insurance (in the amount of $1,000,000) and California requirements for workers compensation
- Successfully passed a public records check for liens, judgments, civil litigation & bankruptcy
- Has earned a better business bureau rating of AAA (triple A)
- Provided satisfactory customer and trade references
- Has agreed to abide by LCH “Code of Ethics”
